is the middle child and the next in line to be King, only he doesn’t want to be king. He doesn’t want anything to do with royalty. Crimson has always been a free spirit, hoping that someday he can break free from this curse and just be himself with no worries at all.
is the oldest child and has always complained about how unfair her life has been. Ever since she was little, all she wanted was to lead her country and show people that she’s capable of so much more. Sadly, because she’s a female, the next heir to the throne is actually her her younger brother Crimson, thus making the burning jealousy in Ruby fester over time causing a rift in her and Crimson’s relationship. All she wants to do is prove that she is so much more than a simple handmaiden. She may not know exactly what she wants in life, but whatever it is . . . it’s not this.
Scarlet and Garnet are the King and Queen of the Red Kingdom. The capital city, Redspire is their home.
has always been a listener. He loves helping people and tries his best to stay pacifistic. He doesn’t like violence, but will resort to it if threatened. He always says that meeting Scarlet was love at first sight. He is a goofball and loving father, husband, and friend to anyone who has the pleasure to meet him.
some might say that Scarlet tends to be hot headed and have anger issues. She is cunning and secretive but one things for sure. She loves her family with all her being. She and Garnet are inseparable and if you hurt or threaten her kids you will receive her wrath.
This picture below was heavily influenced by another artwork. If you know the original artist please let me know so I can credit them.
has been a loyal knight since the day Garnet found him on the streets. Ever since, they two became best friends and Brick swore to protect the king and his family until the day he dies. He is practically the kids uncle.
is a female Orc who has worked with Garnet since she was a teen. She has a fondness for the royal family and loves cats. She owns four cats, Mayor Whiskers, Clawdia, Catsanova, and Mr. Pawsable. She may look big and strong but she has a heart of gold and would do anything for the royal kids. She is like an aunt to them.
Spoilers below! If you have not read book 2 please do so before looking below!
Is a young thief who happened to be caught simply for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. She is a sarcastic, sassy, youngster who annoys Crimson in jail. Aqua has always had a positive outlook in life and once she puts her mind to do something she is stubborn until it is complete.
Shiro is the doctor for Crimson and the others. Shiro has always been too kindhearted. His goal in life is to help those who cannot help themselves. He hates seeing people in pain. He is much different than all the other Howlites.
Coal is a fighter and has been since before he can remember. This Ebon has always been the minority and has wanted to change the views that people have about not only his race but all the Achromatic colors.
Ash is a openly gay Mink that has a strong head on his shoulders and acts as the voice of reason (especially between himself and Coal). He and Coal have been freinds for a while now since both of them left home in search for something better. Ash is an archer and once you fall in his good grace, he will protect you with his life. You don’t want to get on his bad side.
Mari has always been one to drop everything and help those less fortunate than herself. She loves to try her best in making people feel better and loves her son, Copper, more than anything. She and Jasper became a pairing and Mari got pregnant at an early age, but when Jasper found out he was too scared and ran away. She cared deeply for both Jasper and her baby, but put Jasper on the back of her mind so that she could make sure that her child had all the love and support she could give.
This artwork below was drawn by me but was heavily influenced by a picture I found online for Voltron. I cannot recall who the original artist is, but I am trying to figure it out so I can credit them. If anyone knows who made the original artwork please tell me.
Copper is the only child of Mari and he would do anything to protect his mom. The two of them have an unbreakable relationship and he will let you know what he thinks of you very ealy on. He is no stranger to speaking his mind. He hates his dad (Jasper) and wants nothing to do with what he calls a “deadbeat dad / loser”. When Jasper came back into Mari’s life, Copper was not pleased and has tried to sabotage him since the day he returned.
Jasper, Russet, Cerulean, and Pom, Merlot, Rose, and many many more will be coming soon!!
